Support Worker Required to Support a 10-Year-Old Child in the Community - Norham - Berwick-upon-Tweed - TD15
Job Reference (71d76427)
£14.67 per hour | Mileage Paid | Flexible Hours
Are you caring, patient and looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference?
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Support Worker to support a bright and engaging 10-year-old boy with Autism, ADHD and limited verbal communication. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a meaningful one-to-one relationship while helping a child access activities, develop confidence and enjoy new experiences in the community.
Our son loves getting out and about and exploring the world around him. He thrives with support from someone who is calm, understanding and able to see the world from his perspective. Every day is different, and your support will help him enjoy activities safely while giving his family valuable respite and peace of mind.
Due to his additional needs, he requires close supervision when out in the community and benefits from patient encouragement and reassurance when situations become overwhelming. We are seeking someone who can remain positive, adaptable and responsive to his individual needs.
Previous experience supporting children with Autism or communication difficulties is helpful but not essential. We are equally keen to hear from people with the right values, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to support a young person to live life to the fullest.
Personal care support will be required.
Full details will be discussed at interview.
