Job Purpose: I am a friendly independent lady living in my home with my cat, who is very important to me. I enjoy yoga, knitting and participating in community activities. I have Autistic Spectrum Disorder, M.E./chronic fatigue syndrome, OCD, anxiety and allergies to dust, and require support with admin and organising my flat. In the long term, I will require support accessing activities that interest me and or benefit my health (gaming, yoga and support groups).

Details:
● I would like your support to access activities of interest and benefit to me, such as gaming, yoga, support groups, initially at home and then getting out and about as lockdown restrictions allow.
● Animal care such as cat grooming and cleaning litter trays and taking my cat to the vet etc in your car as necessary.
● Food preparation including occasionally cooking hot meals.
● Receiving callers to my home including taking deliveries, greeting workmen, taking notes during appointments/phone calls etc.
● Assisting with occasional shopping.
● All aspects of household cleaning.
● Supporting me with my household admin including making and taking phone calls, dealing with post, writing letters, filing etc.
● Occasional gardening of patio pots. - no lawn mowing required.
● Any other reasonable tasks.

Essential
● Car owner with a clean driving licence and appropriate business use insurance.
● Ability to work around a shy house cat.
● Able to cook a hot meal.
● Fastidious and able to clean to a very high standard, with excellent standards of hand hygiene.
● Able to follow written and verbal directions.
● Respectful of my wishes.
● Friendly, calm and quiet manner.
● Very organised.
● Flexible with working hours - times/days could change depending on available activities and any change in my health conditions.
● Non-smoker.
Summary terms and conditions
● The rate of pay for this position is £12 per hour. You will be paid double time for work carried out on a bank holiday.
● You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
● The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
Hours and times of work:
11-14 hours a week to be worked some weekday mornings (except Wednesday), usually 3 - 3.5 hour shifts and/or some evenings (except Thursday), usually 1.5 hour shifts to include Wednesday 5:30pm to 7:30pm if possible, and occasional weekend days (approx. 6 hours, once or twice a month, for events). Days and times to be discussed at interview. Job share would be considered. Opportunities available to cover the absence of my other Support Workers.
The post is subject to the following:
● A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
● Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
● Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
