JOB DESCRIPTION – Leeds 9 – 6 hours a week @ £12.40

To support my son who has autism.ADHD,Dyspraxia and anxiety.
 He has a funny sense of humour and when he builds a trusting relationship he is a lot more bubbly and out going.  
He needs support building independence skills for day to day life such as shopping, using public transport and being safe while crossing roads.  
He can be overwhelmed with high stimulating environments and does normally inform us by his actions.  He will put his hands over his ears his eyes dart around and he becomes quite tense in his features.  
When this happens it is best to encourage him to leave the situation/ environment for 5/10 mins to give him a breather and time to process. 
 
The applicant doesn't need to be able to drive, he enjoys public transport and does have a disabled bus pass that he can use for him and a companion. He also has a blue badge. 
 ACTIVITIES HE ENJOYS 
Playing football/ kick about 
Watching rugby (Leeds rhinos season ticket holder) 
Go ape style activities / clip and climb
Trampolining 
Bowling 
Laser quest
Gaming / arcades 
Theme parks. 
Walking 
Riding his bike 
 
Confidentiality is of the upmost importance and you will need to be patient and understand how a child presents with autism.   Training will be offered around autism and is arranged via the council there is also other training. 
DBS will be completed prior to starting the role and two references taken up.
