Support worker for a teenage male £12.40p/hour in Bath - Bath - BA2

We are looking for a support worker to help our son, who has a chromosome disorder, ASD, and some learning delays, so he may need a little support with things like counting money or remembering his inhaler.
Your role is all about having fun and making a difference! You’ll spend time with our son to help him enjoy activities such as:
- Playing computer and board games (Ludo, card games, Warhammer figure painting)
- Sports and outdoor activities (basketball, football, cycling)
- Train spotting & visits (David loves trains!)
- Trips out for food and ice cream
- Bowling, swimming, and cinema trips.
- Encourage independent skills and confidence in travelling on public transport and walking local routes.
- Ensure safety and wellbeing.
The plan is that the role will commence approximately. May 2026, following a successful introduction, we can be flexible with the start date.
Role Details
Hours: 4 hours weekly (occasional weekend).
Time: To be discussed at the interview
Pay: £12.40 per hour.
Location: Bath
About You
We’re looking for people who are:
Kind, patient, and energetic, with a genuine interest in supporting young adults to develop independent skills.
Reliable and trustworthy.
Must have an Enhanced DBS check (or willing to complete one before starting – cost covered).
Previous experience supporting young adolescents with autism, chromosome disorders and some learning delays would be helpful, but a caring attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
