Support Worker/Enabler – Social Support for Gentleman in the Community - Ashington

A gentleman with Parkinson’s and early onset Lewy Body dementia is looking for a friendly and reliable Support Worker/Enabler to support him for 4 hours per week to access community and social activities.

The role will involve offering companionship and encouragement to help him enjoy activities outside the home. He enjoys watching football, especially Ashington AFC, boxing, playing crazy golf, and going out for lunch or tea. The successful applicant will support him to continue enjoying these interests and spending time in the community.

There is no personal care or medication support required. The 4 hours per week can be arranged flexibly, with days and times to be discussed and agreed with the employer.
A driver is essential for this role. The applicant does not need to have their own vehicle, as the gentleman has access to a mobility car. However, due to insurance purposes you will need to be over 25 years old.

Rate of pay: £14.67 per hour.
