POST:  Support Worker/Enabler
LOCATION: Blyth Area
JOB PURPOSE: We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed enabler to provide 1:1 close supervision for a 7year old girl 

We are looking to recruit a committed enabler to support a young girl who has a diagnosis of ASD and is sensory avoidant as she struggles with bright lights and does not like loud noises.  
 
Her favourite activities are doing some girly stuff like shopping and getting her nails painted. She doesn’t like the cinema or loud noises. Anywhere she can run wild is a plus in her book. She loves going to the park and the beach she loves water and could play for hours. 
 
Main Duties

·       To support the young girl with accessing appropriate activities away from the home. 
·       To build a secure relationship with the young girl and her family
·       To encourage interactions appropriate to the activities being accessed
·       To prompt the young girl with her toileting needs
 
Hours 
3 hours a week during term time (39 weeks) and 6 hours a week during all school holidays (13 weeks) – Days and times to be discussed at interview 
 
 
Essential Criteria 
·       Have a high degree of initiative. 
·       Have a full license and access to a car
·       To be honest, reliable 
·       Be flexible with an outgoing personality
·       Punctual and reliable and trustworthy
·       Have a happy, positive, caring nature
·       Respect confidentiality is a must               
 
Rates of Pay
£10.82 per hour. 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata)
 
Out of pocket expenses will be met by the Employer. This post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and references (Cost to be met by Employer).

Car driver is essential and must have Business Insurance.
