Are you friendly, reliable, and enjoy getting out and about? An independent, warm-hearted, and witty woman is looking for a Personal Assistant for around 10 hours per week to provide companionship and support with social activities, hobbies, and everyday adventures.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building genuine connections and helping someone make the most of their free time outside of work. Some light household tasks including laundry when asked.
About the Role
The focus of this role is companionship, encouragement, and supporting an active social life. You could be helping with:
- Trips to the cinema, theatre, or local events
- Shopping outings and browsing favourite stores
- Meeting friends and accessing the local community
- Exploring new activities and leisure opportunities
- Attending occasional sporting events
- Visiting cafés, restaurants, and places of interest
- Supporting hobbies such as gardening and home decorating
- Light household tasks, including laundry, when required
This role would suit someone who is positive, sociable, has a good sense of humour, and enjoys helping others stay active, involved, and independent.
Hours Available
10 hours per week including:
- One midweek evening (Wednesday preferred)
- Either Saturday or Sunday
Some flexibility may be available regarding days and times.
Self-employed rate: £21.20 per hour
Start date: ASAP
Essential Requirements
- Non-smoker
- Comfortable around wheelchairs
- Able to drive a Motability vehicle
- Physically able to operate manual wheelchair ramps
- DBS check required
- Due to allergies, strong perfumes and heavily scented products must be avoided

- Comfortable supporting an adult who makes her own decisions
- Happy to provide companionship as well as practical support
- Enthusiastic about helping someone enjoy life outside of work
Previous care experience is not essential. Personality, reliability, and a willingness to learn are far more important.
