Support an Inspiring Young Person as a Personal Care Assistant | Blyth | £14.67 per Hour - Blyth - NE24
Job Reference (8a62f632)
Are you a patient, dependable and enthusiastic person looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day?
We are seeking a Personal Assistant to join an established support team and work alongside another PA on a 2:1 basis, supporting a young woman with complex needs to enjoy an active and fulfilling life.
This remarkable young lady loves being outdoors, exploring new places and experiencing new activities. She enjoys community outings and short breaks at Golden Sands Resort, and is looking for someone who can share these experiences while providing consistent support and encouragement.
As she is non-verbal, communication is expressed through her own unique signs and gestures. Understanding and responding to these forms of communication is a key part of the role. A calm, observant and compassionate approach will help build trust, reduce frustration and support her wellbeing.
We are looking for someone who can provide focused support, develop a positive working relationship and become an important part of her support network. Experience of supporting individuals with complex needs is desirable, and the ability to remain patient and attentive in a variety of situations is essential.
The role will begin with a minimum of 8 hours per week, increasing to 16 hours per week as the support package develops. Weekday availability is preferred, although occasional weekend flexibility would be advantageous.
A full, clean driving licence is essential as you will be required to drive a Motability vehicle. Applicants must be aged 25 or over due to vehicle insurance requirements.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help a young person achieve the best possible quality of life while providing valuable support to her family. If you are caring, reliable and committed to making a positive impact, we would love to hear from you.
This version changes the title, leads with the lifestyle and impact of the role rather than the communication needs, varies the sentence structure throughout, and moves the practical information towards the end, helping it appear more distinct from previous postings on UKCIL.
