Hours (Non-Negotiable):
- Tuesday: 6:15am – 9:45am
- Saturday: 11:00am – 3:00pm
- Sunday: 11:00am – 3:00pm
Weekly hours are fixed, however there is opportunity to work more hours. It would be great if the applicant has flexibility to cover other PA sickness and holiday.
The client also occasionally goes to visit friends in London and Milton Keynes for a couple of nights – if you’re able to cover this that would be good but is not an essential part of the role.
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate female self-employed Personal Assistant to support a 54-year-old lady with Cerebral Palsy to live independently and manage daily life at home and in the community.
The client is a full-time electric wheelchair user, her Cerebral Palsy affects her movement and her speech. She uses an iPad to communicate, until people are used to her speech. She also has a hearing impairment.
The client has lived independently since she was 19 years old, the same age she completed A-Level English and A-Level Law.
Due to personal care being an essential part of the role, applicants must be female.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is person-centred, respectful, and committed to supporting independence.

Requirements
- Female (due to personal care requirements)
- Self-employed status
- Enhanced DBS check (essential)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Good awareness of allergies, particularly seafood and eggs
- Reliable and punctual (hours are fixed and not flexible)
- The client uses two electric wheelchairs and hoists. Familiarity with this equipment is beneficial but not essential, as guidance can be provided.

- Smoking is not an issue; however, no smoking is permitted inside the home.
- The role requires a respectful, professional approach.
- This position will be review yearly.
