We are looking for a suitable PA who has an insight & experience of working children with learning disabilities, who also is a driver and access to own vehicle.
Our son has a condition known as PICA, , it is an eating disorder and can be caused by anxiety & stress.
PA is required on weekend from 6 hours to 12 hours per week (hours will be variable) to suit our son's needs and can be discussed in advanced. The Personal assistant we are looking for will have understating through life experience through work or life experience working with children with special needs. the pay rate is £12.40 an hour (gross) with 5.6 weeks holidays (pro rata)
PURPOSE OF JOB
To work with our son who has Autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. Our son has sensory needs and is PICA. Our son will always need assistance and close supervision to stay safe.
He also needs somebody who can help to access activities in the community and to access transport. They will also need to support our son’s personal cares, by helping him with his toileting, dressing needs, and assistance with feeding.
We require a person who can provide this level of assistance that our son requires under our direction. The personal assistant must be reliable, punctual, honest, caring and kind.
The person we will employ will have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for our privacy. Please note for your & our son’s safety, avoid wearing jewellery, such as neck chains, bracelets, earrings & any other visible jewellery item-
