We are looking for a fun, reliable and confident Support Worker/Personal Assistant to support a young man with learning disabilities in the Stocksfield area.
This is a rewarding role helping him build confidence, develop independence and re-engage with activities he enjoys in the community.
He is non-verbal and communicates through gestures and a communication book. He enjoys activities such as swimming, cycling, gym sessions, cafés, horse riding, arts and crafts, woodwork and days out.
Main Duties
- Supporting community access and social activities
- Encouraging independence and life skills
- Providing positive behaviour support
- Supporting with personal care, toileting and meal preparation
- Promoting safety, confidence and choice
About You
You will be:

- Reliable and trustworthy
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs is welcomed but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Own vehicle suitable for transporting a passenger over 6ft tall
- Business use insurance
Hours
- 3 hours per week during term time (39 weeks)
- 8 hours per week during school holidays (13 weeks)
- Flexible working days and times to be agreed
Additional Information
Enhanced DBS required (paid by employer).
Full training provided, including safeguarding, moving and handling, medication awareness and person-specific training.
