Personal Care Support Worker for a gentleman 24 hr/wk@ £13.74/hr in Cramlington - Cramlington - NE23
Job Reference (28be40f3)
I am a 57-year-old gentleman living in the Cramlington area. I am looking to recruit a team of care workers to enable me to remain independent within my own home.
Following a spinal injury, I require care and support with all aspects of my daily routine.
I am currently cared for in bed and require my carers to support with:
- Medication administration
- Meals and drinks
- Bathing and dressing
- Bowel regime (full training will be provided)
- Catheter Care (if required)
- Support to reposition within bed to maintain skin integrity
Due to the moving and handling elements of my support, all care is delivered on a 2:1 ratio; you must be physically able to manage the aspects of the support as your safety is as important to me as my own.
My ideal care team will consist of experienced carers who:
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Are able and willing to work as part of team,
- Can learn on the job and take direction from myself
- Are committed to providing long term care and support
Hours:
My care plan currently consists of 8 ¾ hours per day (2:1)
- AM call – block of 3-4 hours
- Mid afternoon call – approximately 1 hour
- PM Call – block of 3-4 hours
Detailed time of calls and possible work patterns will be discussed at the interview.
*** Please ensure your availability is updated on your application. **
An enhanced disclosure and barring certificate to work with the adult workforce will be required. Full Cost will be met by the employer
Full training will be provided to all successful applicants. This will be in the form of online training, in person demonstration, and on job training.
