NICE, good mannered, friendly staff are required to support a lady living independently in her own home, for the first time. This is a time of mixed emotion for the family but none more so than for this woman.
We require a team of experienced, female Personal Assistants for 24 hours per day, seven days per week, to assist a very chatty, outgoing lady who is a wheelchair user with diagnoses of Learning Disability (she presents younger than her years), Cerebral Palsy and Hiatus Hernia. Clear spoken English is a must to ensure this lady can understand and communicate to the best of her ability.

You will be responsible for ensuring all personal care needs are met including toileting, showering, washing, dressing, undressing, hydration, preparation of food and administering medication. Moving and handling is an important element of this support and training will be provided. Household tasks will be part of the role also. Overnight shifts will be sleep in, not waking. Hobbies for this lady include watching television and film at the cinema so if you like her, enjoy love stories like Bridget Jones, you will be sure to enjoy this aspect of the role.

Walks along the pier, generally going out and about taking photographs, watching the world go by, having a bite to eat and swimming are also pastimes enjoyed. Family are extremely supportive and look forward to receiving your application.
