Personal Care Assistant - Morpeth - NE61

Job Reference (9c9d84a1)

I am a 23 year old young lady and I have an opening in my fabulous team of carer’s.

I am looking for someone who is fun to be around, will help me cause mischief and help me to be as independent as possible within my limitations . I need help with all aspects of my life including personal care and medication, so I am looking for a female applicant. I have a full active life that I need you to help me to keep up with. I enjoy horse riding, swimming, skiing and a wide range of physical activities that you will need lots of energy to keep up with me.

I have a number of difficulties - I need help with and will need some assistance to overcome, but we always try to have fun so I am looking for someone who is fun to be around and able to help me with my physiotherapy, school work and a wide range of activities . I also have a number of medical problems which I need help with. I am partially PEG fed, so prior experience of this is a benefit but full training will be given. I have a learning disability and use my voca and sign language to communicate, so some experience of these is desirable, but not essential. You need to be a happy, positive and caring person.

I love to get out and socialise and will need you to help facilitate this. I enjoy going out to see friends, going bowling, shopping, etc, so a full, clean driving license is essential.

This role is to cover various shifts, sickness and holidays. We have full time hours available. Please only apply if you are happy to work weekends. My care package is 24 hours a day, so the successful applicant must be flexible and have the ability to cover a range of shifts including waking and sleeping nights. I live at home with my family so discretion is needed.

The wage will increase to £17.23ph from £13.75 once training and competencies are completed.

There is a no smoking or vaping policy at our work.

If you think this describes you, then I can’t wait to meet you and start our experience together.
