The job:
We are looking for Personal Assistants (PA’s) to work with a Gentleman who lives at home with his wife.
You will provide personal care, support to wash, change his clothes, support incontinence, assist to shower.
The role will be varied, sometimes the day will be about good conversation or reading his books to him and to provide friendship.
Every day is about giving caring, friendly support to him
The right person:
Experience would be an advantage - not necessary as full training will be given.
- Medication management inc topical preparations,
- PEG care-site, admin of meds, feed & fluids
- Dysphagia & choking
- Non verbal communication.
- MND awareness ( Motor Neurone Disease )
- Brain tumour awareness
- Hoisting
It is not essential that you have experience in care but you must have common sense, be enthusiastic and willing to learn!
You will receive full training in all aspects of caring. The main thing is that you have a naturally friendly and caring nature.
The Hours:
Work patterns are well planned with around 25 to 30 hours per week available. You will work as part of a team and willing to pick up additional hours and be flexible to cover holidays and times of sickness.
Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. This post is subject to DBS checks the cost of which will be met by your employer.
