Brief overview

13 year old female Autistic teenager with joint hypermobility.  Classed as "high functioning".  Attends an Autism Provision in Meanwood - 8 miles from home.  Can fully communicate and is clean, however, is Anxious in the outside world and needs a little help and reassurance to be a "regular teenager".

8 hrs a week for social skills and independence - rate is £9.43.

Car driver ideal, as we live semi rural, however there is a bus terminus - just not very frequent.  

We require someone that understands Autism and that will push her to access the world outside her bedroom, when not at her Provision.  

Help learning how to travel on public transport safely, navigating her way around a busy shopping complex to buy ingredients etc, cooking safely at home without missing out any steps eg. oven gloves and washing up!

Encouraging to take part in social activities such as trampolining, rock climbing etc.  

Help to understand hygeine and the need for this, personally and in her room.  

She needs guidance when out the house as she can zone out and rely on her headphones as a coping mechanism, so the person taking on the role needs to understand Autism and know not to chastise regulation. 

Hours will be after school / weekends / holidays- this is flexible and can be discussed week by week 

Extra hours are available to the right person

I choose to pay 45p a mile fuel for any trips I ask you to undertake for the benefit of our daughter - eg. If I ask you to travel from our house to rock climbing then I would pay your fuel from our house and back again at 45p a mile on top of your hourly rate, as I feel this is only fair.
