An opportunity has arisen to join a small team to provide care for our 15 year old son with cerebral palsy epilepsy and gastrostomy.
You will provide care within our home and be able to commit to a variety of of shifts during your working week. These will include waking nights, split day shifts, weekends and bank holidays.
We are offering a 24 hour post which will be discussed during interview to establish if more or less hours are desirable to you.
You will have a fun, friendly manner and strong communication skills as this will engage our son who has a great sense of humour.
Preferably you will have experience of working in the community or with young people.
Throughout the shifts you will be asked to carry out a high level of personal care duties including toileting, bathing and feeding. You will be monitoring his health and ensuring all medication is administered at specific times.
An in depth induction is provided to help settle you into your new role, Any costs incurred for training or for the required DBS check will be covered by ourselves. We have set a six month probationary period, during this time you will be undergoing a shadowing and training induction, with regular supervision to establish how you are doing.
