Personal Care Assistant for Family Man in Caister NR30, 7.5hrs weekly at £12.89 per hr - Great Yarmouth - NR30

To provide support for a man with mobility issues to live independently and enjoy activities.

Caister-on-Sea, NR30

I am a family man who has various health conditions meaning I am in pain and have mobility issues that can vary on a day to day basis. I am seeking to employ a Personal Assistant/Carer who can support me with my morning routine, getting up, bathed and dressed (Including help with continence pads). In term time I would also like my PA to accompany me to take my daughter to school which is a short walk from home. I may need to be taken in a wheelchair on days that my mobility is particularly poor. As well as my daily support I enjoy going swimming and the PA will need to be able to drive me to the local pool where I have a private swimming session once a week. They will support me to get dry and changed but I am able to use rails to get in and out of the pool myself. The PA will need to be a driver with their own car and appropriate class of business insurance.

 

·       The rate of pay for this position is £12.89 per hour

·      Hours of work: Up to 7.5 hours per week, 1 hour mornings Mon-Fri ( this will be 7:45 to 8:45 in term time but potentially may vary in school holidays), the remaining 2.5 hours for the swimming session.

·      5.6 weeks per year pro-rata paid leave, inclusive of bank holidays

·      Free training as appropriate for role

·      Mileage allowance for car use 

 

·      A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.

·      Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
