To work with my 7 year old son who has pre-verbal Autism, ADHD and learning disabilities. My son needs constant assistance and close supervision in all areas of care as has the cognitive function of that of a toddler. My son needs help with personal care, by helping him with his toileting and dressing needs, and assistance with feeding.
We require a person who can provide this level of assistance that my son requires under my direction. The personal assistant must be reliable, punctual, honest, caring and kind.
The person we will employ will have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for our privacy.
Mu son’s personal assistant must supervise him at all times, and always be aware of his vulnerability and his need to be kept safe. He is a very active little boy so we would require somebody who can match his energy. He is a very energetic, loving little boy who loves adult attention.
Support Tasks
• Accompany my son to activities in the community (i.e. social, educational etc.)
• Encourage him to engage with activities and to develop his independence.
• Assistance with toileting/personal cares.
• Accompanying the family on outings to assist with my son’s care requirements.
• Supervise my son within his home environment.
I am flexible with days and times but would be outside of school hours, so evenings and weekends.
