·    Willing to provide references and complete required checks and paid training

·   Able to communicate honestly about availability, sickness and holidays

Applications must answer all questions in the application form.

About Me

I am a 51-year-old disabled woman living in Norwich. Several long-term health conditions affect my mobility, pain, energy and daily routine. I use a wheelchair indoors and outdoors and value support that helps me remain as independent and involved in my own life as possible.
I previously worked in the NHS and continue to work privately from home for one afternoon each week. I share my home with two friendly mature cocker spaniels and two young kittens and my husband.

The Support I Need

·        Personal care, including washing, showering, dressing, hair care and applying treatment creams

·        Discreet support with toileting routines and personal care needs

·        Preparing fresh hot meals, including meat and fish, while carefully following serious dietary and allergy requirements via Hello Fresh to make it easier.

·        Planning and organising practical daily tasks around pain, fatigue and medication routines and my schedule.

·        Wheelchair support from the vehicle for appointments, shopping, outings and community activities

·        Driving my automatic adapted Motability vehicle where agreed and appropriate

·        Light cleaning, laundry sorting and putting away, general household support for domestic cleaning in the areas I use

·        Feeding and helping with the dogs and kittens when required such a taking them out to the garden, and meals.

·        Working positively with the PA team using WhatsApp, phone calendars (Outlook) and rota arrangements

Shifts Available (Fixed + Cover shifts)

 | Morning
 9am–12pm
| Breakfast, personal care, dressing, hair care, lunch preparation and calm support with planning the day.
| Evening
 Around 5.30/6pm–7.30/8pm
| Fresh meal preparation, evening personal care and support settling comfortably for the night.
| Community access
Usually Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of 1pm–5pm
| Two, two-hour shift for appointments, shopping, social activities and dog-related outings.
| Domestic support
 Approx. 2 hours
| Light cleaning and household support, usually on Monday or Wednesday.

Who Would Suit This Role?

·        Previous experience in personal care, care work, support work or a similar role

·        A calm, patient and practical approach, where service user always comes before procedures.

·        Respect for privacy, dignity, independence and person-centred care

·        Reliability, punctuality and honest direct communication

·        Confidence preparing fresh meals and carefully following dietary instructions

·        Comfort working independently and cooperatively within a small team

·        A genuine interest in stable, long-term work rather than a short placement

Pay and Conditions

·        Paid shadowing with an experienced PA before working independently
