Personal Care Assistant – Make Everyday Moments Matter
£18.40 per hour | Approximately 6 hours per week | Flexible shifts
A favourite song, a freshly baked treat or a short walk in the fresh air, could you help make these everyday moments possible?
We’re looking for kind, dependable Personal Care Assistants to join a small, friendly team supporting a much-loved mum in her own home in a peaceful rural setting. Your support will help her stay independent, enjoy her interests and live life her way.
The person you’ll support
She enjoys everything from Elvis Presley to Status Quo, classic TV programmes, cooking and baking, crosswords and puzzles, and short walks when possible. If you enjoy getting to know someone and sharing in the things that make them smile, this could be a rewarding role for you.
You’ll work alongside another care assistant, providing person-centred support at home and out in the local community.
How you’ll make a difference
· Provide personal care with kindness and respect.
· Offer gentle mobility support.
· Prepare meals and provide medication support.
· Bring companionship and encouragement to everyday life.
· Support hobbies, interests and trips into the local community.
Could this be you?
You don’t need previous care experience, full training is provided. We’re looking for someone patient, calm and compassionate, with a positive outlook and a reliable approach. You’ll be comfortable following guidance and using your initiative, and keen to build a genuine connection with the person you support.
A full UK driving licence and access to a car are preferred because of the rural location.
Training and support
You’ll join a supportive, welcoming team and receive full training in safeguarding, moving and handling, medication administration, dementia awareness, food hygiene and first aid. An Enhanced DBS check will also be provided.
Pay, hours and flexibility
· Pay: £18.40 per hour.
· Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week.
· Shifts: Flexible options across mornings, afternoons and evenings throughout the week.
· Setting: A calm, rural environment, supporting someone in her own home and local community.
Bring your kindness. Make a difference.
If you’re looking for a few hours of meaningful work each week, we’d love to hear from you. Apply through UKCIL and tell us a little about yourself, your availability and what appeals to you about supporting this lady.
