New Year New Job?
Looking to do something rewarding, something stable?
This is NOT a live in role - it’s a shared job of around 35-42 hours basic a week.
I had a lot of time wasters recently so let’s not waste each other’s time. Please read the below and I repeat IT IS NOT A LIVE IN ROLE. The team is currently 100% female and this works best for all.
I'm looking for new people to join my care team in St Neots, Cambridgeshire (£230 - £290 per 24 hour shift) - and if you're interested all you need to do is hit apply or read on.
Currently Colleague Accessibility Manager at a large bank, I'm a leading UK expert on disability in the workplace, an Accessibility Consultant for Gatwick Airport, Marketing Advisor for Permobil, Co-Founder of Changing Places International and Trustee for Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance. I live in my own modern adapted smart-home bungalow just outside St. Neots in Cambridgeshire and my life is everything from "I’ve worked 50 hours this week, been to watch Liverpool twice and not had enough sleep” to I'm working from home, and by home, I mean in joggers, a hoody and baseball cap and can’t be arsed to leave the house".
I'm also severely disabled - I rely on various medical devices from wheelchair to hoists, orthopaedic beds, tablets and medicines. It's not a life I would have chosen - but I'm lucky enough to have a great team of people to keep fed, watered, healthy, safe, clean, smelling fresh and looking good while I keep my work going - and now I'm hiring.
I can offer regular work, flexible hours, short notice shifts available and many of the best people I have had are those with life experiences, e.g. have had disabled relatives or been parents and transfer these skills to meet my needs. Equally care background can also be fabulous. It's the practical, can-do, get up and go, let's fix this attitude I need - everything else can be trained.
You do need to drive. To be part of the team you need t be able to do your share of evenings, nights and weekend shifts. I know 24 hours sounds long, but the shifts contain a mixture of work, downtime, and being there for emergencies & as needed, with overnight turning, monitoring, but also some time to rest - you are paid for every minute so why not give it a shot.
I'm now 42, and I like to think I am a good employer and good to be around. My team have been with me a combined total of 24 years (longest is in 12th year) - but we need some more support - I'm very keen to meet new great people, so if you're interested hit apply to find out more.
