Job Description:  Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.
 
 Job Purpose: Provide support and companionship for a 12-year-old boy.
- Companionship: Stay at the family home when supervision is required.
- Going out in the local community: Trips to the local swimming pool, trampoline park, and playground.
- Personal care: Change of nappies when required
 
The young boy likes shapes, numbers, his Ipad and swimming, which is his favourite activity to do. He can be unpredictable and experiences meltdowns, so being patient and quick-witted is key. He does not like loud noises, animals or being in crowded places. 
 
2:1 support will be provided, so you will be working alongside another personal assistant when out in the community. 
 
 Location: Norwich, NR5
 
Personal Specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are required for the post. Assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success.
-Full UK Driving licence
- Use of personal car with business insurance 
- Patient
- Quick-witted
- Demonstrates emotional resilience and have the ability to remain calm
- Capable of performing tasks that require physical exertion, as he does like to take flight when outside.
- Ability and willingness to swim – As he is not safe on his own.

Summary Terms and Conditions:
 - The rate of pay for this position is £15ph employed basis.

- Hours and times of work as follows:  2-3hours over weekends. Exact times and day will be discussed at interview stage. 

 - The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
 
 - If this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training.
 
 The post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
 
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.

- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

- Access to free FLICK training for employed workers.

- If this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training.
 
The post is subject to the following:
 - A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.

- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.

- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
