Personal Care Assistant, 35 hr/wk @ £10.00 to 10/50 hr in Thornton-cleveleys FTE + £20.8k - THORNTON-CLEVELEYS - FY5

The job: We are looking for Personal Assistants (PA’s) to work with a gentleman with a significant brain injury, who lives independently at home.
You will provide personal care, assisting to wash and dress and hoisted from his bed to wheelchair or comfy chair.
He is currently non verbal and consistency from a good PA team is important
The role will be varied, sometimes the day will be about good conversation, friendship, and spending time at home.
Other days will be about getting out and about locally, to enjoy social activities or appointments.
Every day is about giving caring, friendly support to him.

The right person:
Experience working with a person with a brain injury would be an advantage, so you understand that some of the behaviours are part of his condition. It is not essential that you have experience in care but you must have common sense, be flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn! You will receive full training in all aspects of caring. The main thing is that you have a naturally friendly and caring nature.

The Hours: Work patterns are well planned with full and part-time hours available; 20 to 35 hours a week on a 4 weekly rota. Overnight shifts also available 

Starting around 8am across the day to around 10pm 
You will work as part of a team and are willing to pick up additional hours and be flexible to cover holidays and times of sickness.
