Personal Assistant up to 18 hours per week @ £14.50 ph in Walderslade - Chatham - ME5

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and supportive Personal Assistant to provide support to a lovely gentleman with a variety of conditions including Diabetes, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, and Neuropathy, along with a history of heart surgery, who is keen to access social, volunteering or work opportunities to combat boredom and isolation.

This role requires someone who is not only practical and dependable but also understanding of how long-term health conditions can affect day-to-day mobility, energy levels, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Providing day-to day support tailored to fluctuating health needs
·       Supporting use of a mobility scooter, including handling, storage, and transport where required
·       Driving the client to appointments, errands and social activities (full UK driving license essential)
·       Supporting nutrition, including preparation of light meals and snacks in line with dietary needs and health conditions
·       Encouraging and supporting healthy eating habits and hydration throughout the day
·       Assisting the client to access social opportunities, community activities, and groups related to their health conditions and interests
·       Helping maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life
·       Being attentive to fatigue, pain levels, and changing physical capability
·       Ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times

About You:

·       Previous experience in care, support work, or a personal assistant role is desirable
·       Understanding of long-term health conditions and their impact on daily living is highly valued
·       Calm, patient, respectful, and adaptable approach
·       Physically able to assist with light to moderate mobility support
·       Confident driver with a clean or near-clean driving license
·       Reliable, discreet, and able to work with professionalism and empathy

Desirable (but not essential):

·       Experience supporting individuals with complex or multiple health conditions
·       Awareness of dietary considerations for chronic health conditions
·       First Aid training

Hours are as above and flexible and to be agreed with the employer.
