Personal Assistant to support 11 year old boy 6h pw £9.43/hr in LS6 - LEEDS - LS6

Job title.   Personal assistant

 

Hours:      6 hours per week 

 

Rate of Pay:  £9.43ph

 

Location:  Our home / local Leeds area.

 

 

We are a family of 3, with our son C (11). We also have a friendly Labrador dog, who loves cuddles. 

 

C is a very sociable and active boy who likes to be busy and out and about. He has been diagnosed with ADHD and mild learning disabilities. The purpose of the Personal Assistant (PA) is to support C with his social skills and independence, as well as giving us a little respite. C is a wonderful, caring, and inquisitive boy with a great sense of humour and fun. The hours are variable but would usually be Saturday or Sunday afternoons, plus an early weekday evening.  C likes to go to the local park on his bike/scooter or out to the local shops. He also loves things like bowling, the cinema and the “arcade club” at Kirkstall. At home he enjoys racing games on the PlayStation. All activities will be booked or paid for by us. 

 

 

Spend time with C taking him out and about, occasionally supervise him at home e.g., if we go out. 

 

To give C a high level of supervision as he is not always aware of danger. 

 

Anything you are not sure about always consult one of us before acting, I feel we are an easy-going family and the role of the Personal Assistant is to enrich the life of our child and to give us a little respite.

 

 

My personal assistant will be directed by and accountable to me/my parents in all aspects of their work. The PA must always ask what I require and not make assumptions about any aspect of the assistance I need or how it should be carried out. They should not carry out tasks unless we have first discussed it.
