Are you a caring, patient, and reliable person who enjoys helping others get the most out of life?

A friendly, sociable, and bubbly young woman is looking for a Personal Assistant to support her to enjoy activities she loves and maintain her independence. She enjoys arts and crafts, baking, shopping trips, ten pin bowling, visits to local farms, days out and listening to music. She thrives on positive social interaction and enjoys spending time in the community, although she can become tired, anxious, or frustrated at times and benefits from calm, patient support.

The role involves providing person-centred support both at home and in the community, helping her take part in activities, maintain routines, and access the places and experiences she enjoys. Personal care is required as part of the role, basic food preparation and administration of medication.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting people with complex needs
• Is patient, understanding, reliable and trustworthy
• Can communicate clearly and confidently in English to support communication needs
• Can provide support with community access, personal care, and daily living activities
• Can remain calm and supportive when situations become challenging

Experience or understanding of supporting individuals with autism, visual impairment, seizures, diabetes management, mobility difficulties and memory-related challenges would be highly beneficial.

Hours and Pay
• 14 hours per week
• Tuesday and Friday, 4pm to 6pm are essential working times
• Remaining hours to be worked over the weekend
• Holiday and sickness cover for an existing Personal Assistant
• Additional respite cover may be available throughout the year if desired

Essential Requirements
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Vehicle must be able to accommodate a folded manual wheelchair
