Personal Assistant/s required to support a man aged 34 years who lives in the Crook area.
An independent, physically disabled man, with a young son needs flexible, hard working and easy going individuals to form a team of personal assistants to support him with all personal care, running of the home and dad duties.
Hours /Wage:
19 hours per week to be split between two workers £ 10.50 per hour
Monday through to Sunday weekly. With hours split between Morning and Evening.
Duties:
Support with personal care. This may include toileting (if away from service users home) showering/bathing, male grooming, getting dressed.
Applying finishing touches if required when son dresses himself.
Support with cooking/meal preparation and drinks as well as clearing away. (For service user & son)
Assistance with household chores and general homemaking.
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You may be required to perform other duties within reason.

Have good listening skills and be able to provide non-judgemental emotional support.
Be empathetic.
Previous caring experience is not essential, however you should have a genuine interest in helping people with a disability to achieve their goals.
Be able to work flexibly, adapting to the employers needs on a daily basis.
Be self-motivated with a willingness to get involved.
Have a lively personality
An enhanced DBS will be required, employer will cover the cost
