Job Purpose: Supporting a lively, happy, 5 year old sensory seeker little girl, who loves to jump, climb, and has special interests in Frozen and Trolls. 

The little girl does have a sensory processing disorder, autism, and is non verbal, but uses pecs, Makaton, and hand gestures to communicate. She can also suffer with migraines and cyclic vomiting, but they are well controlled at the moment. 

To begin with you will be required to work at the family's home, supporting with playtime and bedtime routines. The role will eventually involve taking her out to places of interest such as parks and soft play. Due to her lack of danger awareness, she will need constant supervision to ensure she is safe at all times.

- Support with bedtime routine

- Administer inhaler or antihistamines if required

The ideal person will be able to remain calm, and not panic if they find themselves in a situation where she could be in danger, or trying to harm herself. A big hug and support to calm her down could be the resolution. 
 
 -Full UK Driving licence
- Use of own car for work purposes
- Experience in Pecs or Makaton be desirable

Summary terms and conditions:
-The rate of pay for this position is £12 per hr 
- Hours and times of work: 2 hours a week on a Tuesday after school or of an evening.  Exact times and days to be discussed at interview.
- Free Training can be provided to employed staff. 
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

    You will be required undertake annual training.

 The post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
