I am a severely disabled family man confined to a wheelchair and I live with my wife and our friendly elderly cat in the centre of Bristol. Currently I work from home, mainly on the computer, and require assistance with all aspects of daily living, including personal care and domestic support.

I have a team of Personal Assistants that carry out varying tasks. They also support me with social activities, family visits and appointment attendance.

I have my own wheelchair-accessible Motability vehicle (automatic with gears on steering wheel), which I would expect my Personal Assistant to be able to drive. For legal reasons they would need to be at least 25 years old.

I am looking for a Personal Assistant for the following tasks and hours:

Personal Care and Holiday Cover - Weekly:
Hours negotiable, but will mainly be at weekends to assist with bed times.

I also would expect any candidates for the above post to have some understanding of the difference between working in someone's home and another workplace setting. I have found it is advantageous to meet candidates in person for an informal chat prior to interview.
