A family in Blyth is looking for a Personal Assistant to support their 10-year-old daughter, who has autism. She loves being outdoors, getting involved in sensory activities, listening to music and dancing. The role involves helping her access activities in the community while ensuring she is safe, supported and having fun.
What You'll Be Doing
• Supporting community outings and leisure activities
• Encouraging participation in outdoor and sensory play
• Providing support with dressing and toileting when required
• Promoting independence, confidence, and wellbeing
• Always ensuring her safety
What We're Looking For
• A caring, reliable and flexible person
• Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities or additional needs
• Understanding of safeguarding and supporting children with challenging behaviour
• A positive and patient approach
Hours & Pay
• 4 hours per week during term time
• 8 hours per week during school holidays
• Usually after school and during school holidays
• £14.67 per hour
