Job Description:  Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.
 
I am a young man looking to build a small team of Personal Assistants to support me in living independently in my bungalow. I am seeking more than one PA to cover four visits per day, seven days a week.
 
 Your support will help me maintain my independence and enable me to make full use of services and facilities in my local community. This includes activities such as attending the gym and using public transport.  
 
Location: Wells-next-the-Sea, NR23
 
Details:
-          Supporting me with personal care
-          Managing house tasks such as laundry, maintaining a safe and habitable home, cooking, cleaning and meal/drink preparation
-          Administering medication
-          Supporting me to live safely and independently at home
-          Helping with gardening, cooking, and caring for my chickens
-          Using my car to transport me to activities and appointments (you will be added to my insurance).
 
Personal Specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. Assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success.
 
Essential
-          Someone reliable, trustworthy, and practical A person who enjoys hands‑on, varied tasks and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
-          A PA with energy, fresh ideas, and the ability to take initiative.
-          A full clean driving licence and willingness to drive my car
 
 
Desirable
-          Experience in personal care, although this is not essential if you bring skills in other areas.
 
Summary Terms and Conditions
-          The rate of pay for this position is £12.38 per hour.
-          Hours will be negotiated, but I require four visits per day between the hours of 7.30am and 9.30pm. These can be split between multiple PAs.
-          The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
-          Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.
 
The post is subject to the following:
-          A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
-          Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
