Job description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant.

Job purpose: Would you enjoy supporting a young man gain independence?

This rewarding role involves working with an 18 year old man who has ASD, severe Anxiety, multiple neurodisabilities, and a brain injury, which effects all aspects of his physical and mental health.

You would be required to support him to go out and about more when not at college, but sometimes to be at home to play games, and have someone to talk to, without putting pressure on him.

 Details:

Promote independence - Full support required with all daily living tasks when at home or out and about.

Try to get him involved with cooking simple meals and snacks.

Ensure medication is taken when required.

 - Support with money purchases when out and about.

 - Take him to college in Norwich (when mother is unable to).

 - Supervise and support with contact with the father and his friends.

 - Promote friendships, going out socially, in the community 

 - Work closely with the family, and assist the family in having a break. Not to change current routine unless otherwise told.
 
 - Go for days out.

 - Encouragement to try new experiences.

Person Specification:

- Must be flexible, times will not be the same every week, but the family will provide a rota every two weeks. Evening and Weekends will be required.
