Job Purpose
To provide support to a brother and sister with Learning Difficulties and other associated conditions to enable them to live independently in their own home.

Location: NR30, Caister

Main Duties:

Assisting with meal preparation when needed and promoting a healthy eating plan.
Prompting and assisting with Domestic Tasks, e.g. Washing, Ironing, Cleaning and Tidying.
Assisting with Shopping Lists
Minimal Personal Care required but may be necessary at times when clients are unwell, upset or unable to manage. Good personal hygiene to be encouraged.
Assisting with medications and recording of medications.
Recording and relaying information to manager and other staff members in Communication Book.
Taking siblings to social activities
Support with current hobbies and interests, which will include walking with one of the siblings to walk their dog.

PPE will need to be worn, as siblings are classed as extremely vulnerable and staff are required to wear PPE which is provided. There is a daily sanitising routine in place.

You will need to have a friendly, caring and approachable personality and a sense of humour

A full understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality required.

Summary terms and conditions

· You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.

The rate of pay for this position is £12 p/h for 8am to 10pm, £10.50 p/h for 10pm to 8am.
Hours of work will be three shifts each week of 4pm to 9am, which will include a sleeping night. Shifts are done on a rolling rota.
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
Satisfactory passing of mandatory training care courses.
Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 3 months.
