Personal Assistant for a 7 year old boy – Ingleby Barwick

3 hours per week

My client is looking for a personal assistant to support a fun, non-verbal 7 year old boy ‘C’ with autism in the Ingleby Barwick.

The successful candidate will be reliable, responsible and have an understanding of autism and be able to manage challenging behaviours.
He uses PECS to communicate, so a knowledge of this system would be a welcome skill.

A flexible approach to work will also be required, as working days and hours may change to accommodate the needs of the client.

Main duties are to support C to access the community. He enjoys visiting the local park, swimming, trampolining and going to the cinema.
C uses a pushchair when out & about & is fully toilet trained.

Other duties would include supporting C in the family home.

A full driver’s licence and transport would be preferable.

The successful applicant will require an Enhanced DBS check. The cost of this will be covered by the client.
