I am seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support my adult son with ASD as a personal assistant (PA) to help enhance his well-being. My son is an intelligent individual, living semi-independently in his own home, who could use assistance in getting out of the house, using public transport, accessing his local community, and engaging in physical activities.

Job Description:
As his PA, your primary responsibility will be to provide companionship and support during outings.
Encourage and assist him to access his local community, use public transport, and try new experiences and activities.
Encourage and support him to engage in physical activities, which may include visiting a local gym, going for walks, or engaging in other activities to improve his overall fitness.
Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for him.
Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance his general wellbeing.
Help and support in and around the house may occasionally be required.
Any other reasonable duties as requested.
Person specification
Essential:
Full UK driving license holder or car owner with appropriate business insurance cover.
calming, reassuring, caring, and patient manner.
An understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work, including total respect for privacy.
Desirable:
Experience in a similar role, training in, or personal experience of autism spectrum disorder would be highly beneficial.
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs.
Summary terms and conditions
The rate of pay for this position is £11.00 per hour.
Hours and times of work: 04 Hrs Per Week, (The day and time are somewhat flexible, to be discussed further at the interview.)
The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
Free Care Skills training is provided to employed staff.
The post is subject to the following:
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.
Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
