About the Employer: 

 Summary of duties: 

•  Driving me to GP/Hospital appointments, swimming pool, shops, cafes and dropping me off to meet with family and friends. 
• Occasional collecting of medicine from the pharmacy and posting correspondence.  
• Shopping for groceries and other required items. 
• Preparing and cooking batches of vegetarian meals to be frozen. 
• Washing up, house cleaning, bed making, hoovering, taking bins out and laundry.  
• Administrative work: applying for grants, helping me to call specialists, hospitals, doctors surgery, organisations and charities to manage my healthcare. 
• Support with mobility going downstairs and while outside. 
• Occasional help to wash hair.   

Personal Qualities and Attributes Required: 

• Have a good sense of humour. 
• Act in an understanding, patient, trustworthy, calm and non-judgemental manner.  
• Be aware of respecting professional and personal boundaries.  
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to use them where support is required. 
• Able to advocate and query with specialists on my behalf.  
• Use initiative to carry out regular duties without needing to be regularly asked. 
• Maintain confidentiality.  

Essential Criteria: 

• Must have a current UK driving licence and access to own vehicle with valid MOT/insurance to use at work (Mileage will be paid at 45p per mile while driving me, you are responsible for paying any speeding or parking tickets) 
• Must be flexible around working hours between 9 am-5 pm.  
• Up to date enhanced DBS check. 
• Able to provide job references. 
• An awareness of food hygiene and health and safety. 

Salary: 

Days and hours: 

• Four days a week / 4.6 hours a day.  
•  Flexible starting and finishing times between 9 am - 5 pm. 
•  Flexible days between Monday to Friday. Including bank holidays.
