Theo is a 16-year-old boy with Mowat Wilson Syndrome. He has severe learning delay. He has challenging behaviours but is a happy and sociable boy. He is non-verbal and walks with difficulty. He is usually confined to a wheelchair when out of the home. Theo depends on adult support in all aspects of his life and personal care. He requires assistants to work with him under the direction of his parents. The assistants will be trustworthy, reliable and flexible. This will usually be weekday evenings (after school) but some weekdays in school holidays may be required and occasional weekends. We will always endeavour to work at mutual convenience.

Theo's assistants will take him out of the home on trips and involve him in social activities.

Theo's assistants will be directed by and accountable to his parents in all aspects of their work. They will always ask what is required and not make assumptions about any aspects of his care or how it should be carried out.

Main duties will be Personal care:

Toileting/nappy changing

Washing/bathing/dressing

Support Tasks:
Read and play games with Theo

Support Theo to develop his communication skills

Support Theo as he interacts with others

Theo's assistants must be mindful of his safety at all times. He has very little sense of danger.

Any other requests that are reasonably made.
