PA / Support Worker for Barrister - Liverpool City Centre - Southport - PR8
Job Reference (0a2a131f)
An active professional man with a moderate disability is looking for a reliable, practical and discreet Personal Assistant / Support Worker to work together on a long term basis. This role is supporting a barrister both home based and professional settings and will require discretion and privacy.
The role combines household support, housekeeper-style tasks and practical assistance with professional working life. Duties will include household support, assistance with shopping and organisation of home, wardrobe organisation, preparing professional clothing and court dress, organising and carrying work bags.
The role will be a minimum of 20 hours per week upwards, typically around 2-4 hours per day to begin with over 5 days per week but will increase due to work demand at busier times. The work will be based primarily in Liverpool City Centre. Subject to your availability for further travel, the role could involve travel to court locations in Manchester and other locations.
This is not a conventional care role and not a standard office PA role. It requires someone with very high standards, excellent reliability, good judgement and a practical, organised approach. The successful applicant must take pride in doing things properly, maintaining a clean and orderly environment, presenting work clothing to an extremely high professional standard, and supporting a demanding professional routine.
Confidentiality is essential, as the role may involve being around legal papers and professional matters. The successful applicant should be reliable, physically able to assist with household tasks, bags and equipment, respectful of professional boundaries, and comfortable supporting an independent disabled working adult.
A full driving licence is desirable but not essential. Access to a vehicle can be provided.
A clean DBS check and references are required due to the nature of the role, the work environment, and the need for trust, confidentiality and reliability.
Pay can be made weekly or monthly to suit the successful applicant. Some flexibility will be helpful because court work can involve variable start times and travel. Hours will also start lower and build as routines become established, meaning that earnings will increase over time.
To apply, please send a short message explaining relevant experience, availability, whether you hold a driving licence, and why you think you would be suitable for the role.
