Job Reference (fa53aa7f)
I am looking for a PA to accompany me to social outings and support me when out and about, including Bingo on Thursday/Friday evenings – 6 hours per week.
Hourly rate: £11.30 per hour
A car driver with their own vehicle is required, & they will need to show proof of their full UK driving licence along with proof of business insurance.
I live independently at home, I have support from family and support workers. I do not need any support with personal care, I am able to do all this myself.
My PA will have a good sense of humour, must be flexible and enjoy doing different things. I enjoy getting out into the community, I am unable to do this without a PA in case I have a fit/seizure.
I have epilepsy and have grand mal fits, my PA will need to be trained in this which can be provided through the Leeds City Council, & must be confident when I am having a seizure and ensure I am safe and cannot hurt myself.
My PA will:
· Support me / escort me to social activities. Things I like to do – Going out for meals, going to the theatre, going to the pub, days out to the seaside (will be prior arranged)
· Ensure I am safe when I am having a seizure and move any objects away from me so I cannot injure myself.
· When out and about my PA must ensure they keep me safe, support me with my finances and ensure I am somewhere safe if I have a fit.
· I am also happy to use public transport.
· All related costs to going out will be met by myself and mileage will be reimbursed at 43p per mile.
· There are times I may not want to go out, my PA will provide company for me within my home, we may watch a film, play board games or watch TV.
· Any other reasonable request I may make.
