I am a 65-year-old woman who is looking for a Personal Assistant to help me live my life as fully as possible. I am a sociable woman who lives independently within a retirement scheme based in Aylsham. I have epilepsy, memory problems and cognitive impairment and need help to organise my day-to-day life such as help with the running of my home and related administration. I live in a very small flat which I struggle to keep on top of. I also need help reminding to do tasks and support to attend appointments. I have some mobility problems and need help to manage my fatigue.
I am good natured and enjoy social activities. I have a Budgie called Joey that you may also need to help with looking after at times.
Person specification - Essential:
· Live locally and be familiar with the area
· A clean driver’s license
· Be trustworthy, reliable, and honest
· Good organisational and IT skills
· Good administration skills – helping with benefits and utilities etc
· Patient and compassionate
· The ability to help me identify and attend various events or social activities
· Help me watch my diet and general well-being
Summary terms and conditions:
· The rate of pay for this position is £11 per hour for employed PA and £13.87 per hour for self-employed PA
· Hours and times of work: P/T starting at 9 hours per week, but likely to be a few more hours once a full assessment of needs is complete
· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks
· This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training

· Use of Hazardous Chemicals (cleaning materials)

Post is subject to the following:
· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer
· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
