Up to 5 hours per week Normally and up to 8 hours during school holidays (to be arrnged flexibly, including evenings and weekend)
My son Adam is 14 years old and currently studies at Green Meadows North West SILC and resides with me, my husband and his two siblings.

Adam is diagnosed with Epilepsy (controlled) and Global Development Delay.

As Adams PA, your role will be to take him out within the community and keep him active. He enjoys, walks, shopping, bowling, swimming, laser shooting, visits to the local cinema and trampoline center.
Adam’s personal assistant will be required to do the following tasks and may be asked to carry out other tasks of a similar nature.

To ensure Adam takes part in a wide variety of activities & supporting him to research new activities he may want to try.
Adam can go to the toilet by myself.
Always plan activities in advances so Adam is aware of what you both plan to do.
Help Adam to pay for activities and food.
Lead Adam during monetary transactions and keeping record of his receipts.
Ensure Adam travel safely to and from activities.
Keep Adam engaged in conversations and stimulated.
Most importantly monitor Adam’s Epilepsy and be vigilant at all times. If an incident does occur please call 999 for emergency help if incident continues for longer than 2 minutes.

My sons personal assistant must be reliable, honest, trustworthy and punctual, and be able to work flexible hours. The personal assistant must also have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for his and my privacy.
