We are seeking a caring, dependable, and motivated Personal Assistant to support a gentleman with Down syndrome who also experiences bouts of gout. The role involves supporting him within his home and out in the community, helping him enjoy the activities he loves, and assisting with aspects of daily living.
He enjoys colouring, spending time in the garden, cooking, walks, and watching TV - particularly westerns, wrestling, soaps, and Bargain Hunt. He also plays Petanque (boules) with his local team and would like someone who can take him to watch and play. The role will include meal preparation, supporting him with activities, accompanying him to social and leisure events, and assisting him to get to the bathroom.
