Job Description:
A bright, intelligent, 25 year old female is looking for a compassionate, reliable female Personal Assistant with good conversation skills to join her established support team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and supporting another person to achieve their goals, develop independence and to enjoy life.
About Her
She is working towards developing her independence and future employment. She enjoys creative activities such as painting and baking and daily walks with her cockapoo, which is currently being trained as a therapy dog. Her diagnoses include Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD), ADHD, epilepsy and autism.
Role Responsibilities
As her PA you will play an important part in helping her to live independently, while providing practical and emotional support. Your responsibilities will include:
Prompting and motivating her with daily routines, housework, meal preparation, medication and maintaining a safe home.
Supporting with dog care, training and daily dog walks.
Helping her to access the community and build friendships.
Assisting with admin tasks such as medical appointments, letters and household management.
Providing transport for necessary activities - a full, clean driving licence is essential.
Offering emotional reassurance and communication support.
Supporting her to make her own decisions
Being physically active and alert, especially during moments of distress.

Understanding Her Needs
EUPD affects her emotional regulation, which can lead to low moods and episodes of self-harm.
Ability to follow risk management plans offering positive behaviour support if her mental health deteriorates
Autism can make adapting to change, decision-making and social situations challenging.
She benefits from emotional regulation support, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) techniques and daily walks.
Her seizures are infrequent, but she will require support during recovery if she occasionally has one.
Requirements:
Female applicants only (Equality Act 2010 exception)
Two references
Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Local Authority)
Willingness to learn and engage with complex mental health needs and provide person-centred support.

Shifts:
She is looking for shift cover throughout the week/ weekend:
Day- 9am-9pm and 4pm- 9pm.
Night - 9pm-9am Some permanent shifts and cover for PA sickness and holidays.
