Job Details
My daughter is a happy 8 year old with a rare genetic syndrome leading to global development delay and reduced cognitive ability. She is non verbal and can walk short distances but tends to use a wheelchair to get out and about. She can have seizures which are controlled with medication, and her immunity is reduced due to lack of spleen. Despite her issues she enjoys going out, likes the swings and slide at the park and loves Bluey. She also loves toys that light up or have buttons, and she enjoys music and dancing but not loud noises. I would like her PA to provide a variety of activities, both out and about and in our home.
Duties to include:
- Providing safe 1:1 supervision and support.
- Taking to local activities, parks and other suitable outings.
- Supporting with toileting when required (uses nappies but starting continence training)
- Engaging positively through play and activities that she enjoys.
- Maintaining her safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Being vigilant regarding potential medical issues.
