PA for 46 year old male with a Learning Disability BS35 £10.50/hr + £71.28 per night - BRISTOL - BS35

Personal Assistant/ Carer required for 46 year old gentleman with Down Syndrome and a recent spinal injury currently living in a village outside Thornbury (South Gloucestershire). Current wheelchair user due to spinal injury - requires support with all aspects with daily life.

Main duties to include:
- personal care
- Help with mobility
- support to access the community
- support with running the household, cooking, cleaning and washing etc.
- support to access day to day activities

I have just moved into a new home following a period of time in hospital and I am looking to Employ a team of Personal Assistants/Carers to support me to be as independent as possible in this new adventure. I enjoy many activities and am willing to try new things, some of things I enjoy include arts and crafts, superhero characters, reading and being outdoors doing activities such as archery. I am looking for people with a good sense of humour, who are confident, organised and can be good at listening and motivating. 

Various hours and shift patterns available, will require sleep-ins and some weekend work is essential.

Must have:
- Full UK driving licence and access to own car (business insurance essential)
- DBS check (employer to pay)
- Two recent references
- Must be willing to undertake training (paid for)
- Experience desirable but not always necessary, however reliability and a willingness to learn are essential.


Benefits:
- Hourly rate is £10.50 P/H and sleep-in rate is £71.28.
