Meet Cyrus
I am a 16-year-old boy with autism who enjoys computer games, watching TV and cooking/baking.
I am social and like to meet new people but sometimes find it difficult to talk to people.
My autism means I sometimes lack confidence in social situations as I can struggle to pick up on social cues and being in noisy, crowded environments can be overwhelming for me. I get anxious about routine and checking doors are locked so I need someone patient to help me with this.
Eventually, my goals would be a trip to town for a meal and leisure activity eg cinema
independently. However, I need to develop the confidence and skills first to be able to achieve these. I may find these tasks difficult and sometimes present with anxiety and worry when I am out of my comfort zone so I need someone who is patient and can support me at my own pace.
You will:
• Support me in developing my confidence within various groups of people
• Accompany me to the cinema and help me to use public transport
• Prepare a meal for the family
Rate of pay
£9.43 per hour Monday to Sunday
Location
Leeds LS16
Holiday Entitlement
You will be entitled to 5.6 weeks each year pro-rata.
You will be required to give at least two weeks' notice for any holiday required so that alternative arrangements can be made.
