We are looking for a committed, friendly, reliable personal assistant on a long term contract to look after a very friendly 15-year-old boy with autistic spectrum disorder with learning difficulties. He is going to special school. He is a lovely boy who prefers adult company all the time.
Our boy needs help with personal care, supervising meal times, help getting dressed, supervision 1:1 all the time. He requires help before and after school during term times.
During half term and summer holidays there will be longer shifts and on school days total 5 hours/day ie,morning 2 hrs and evening 3hours, 2days per week .
We are friendly, very supportive and will be keen to negotiate with appropriately qualified person.
Previous experience in working with children with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour will be much appreciated in all aspects.
Pay £9.00 per hour.
Person should willing to commute .
In general, to undertake all care work with sensitivity required to provide services in a way, which will preserve the dignity, choice, independence, fulfilment and rights of the child and their family.
