Personal Assistant (PA) – Ingleby Barwick
Supporting a 40-year-old gentleman with Cerebral Palsy
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and organised Personal Assistant to join a small care team supporting a friendly wheelchair-user in Ingleby Barwick. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others live independently and confidently.

About the Role
You will support the client with daily living tasks, personal care, and community activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Personal care, including showering and general hygiene
- Preparing meals and cooking
- Light household cleaning and maintenance
- Using a hoist for safe transfers
- Driving to appointments, adult day centres, and social activities (vehicle provided)
- Flexibility to cover holidays and sickness when needed
Shift Pattern
Approx. 80 hours over 4 weeks (around 6 shifts)
Term-time:
Week 1: Wed 3pm–Thu 10am, Thu 3pm–Fri 12pm
Week 2: Sat 12pm–Sun 12pm
Week 3: Wed 3pm–Thu 10am, Thu 3pm–Fri 12pm
Week 4: Sat 12pm–Sun 12pm
Non-term time:
All shifts are 24 hours, including bank holidays, Christmas, and New Year
Who We're Looking For
Essential:
- Age 25+
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Willingness to work flexibly, sometimes at short notice
Desirable:
- Previous care experience
- Experience using a hoist (training provided)
