Health Care Worker for a young boy FT @ £12.75/hr in Billingham - Billingham - TS23

My client is a lively and happy little boy who was born at 34 weeks. He has a congenital heart condition which affects four areas of the heart and has undergone cardiac surgery. He also has a tracheostomy in situ and is ventilated throughout the day and night. He has an NG Tube and receives most of his nutrition in this way.

The family are looking for a health care assistant to support with feeding, personal care such as changing nappies and getting dressed and when he is able to, going out an about on short walks and to activities. 

Duties will also include suctioning and helping to maintain the tracheostomy and ventilator.

The family are looking for someone who is passionate about caring, very reliable and someone who is able to be flexible with hours/days of work.

Experience in providing care or nursing is highly desirable. Specialist training on how to support our client will be provided and the successful candidate will be paid for this.

Care is required for 30 hours a week, Monday to Friday (around 6 hours a day).

DBS is required and will be funded by the family.
